AGW: really?

Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) has been touted by many to be the absolute truth as a science theory. However, for all those flat-earthers out there, AGW is not, and never was, proven by any stretch of the imagination, which this theory really is.

There are hordes of scientists who disagree with the AGW theory, especially when we see that temperatures have been cooling since around 1998. Oh, yeah! Now they call it climate change, since they have no clue! Next, AGC will become the new orthodoxy!

See my Global Warming post for articles dissenting from the current AGW orthodoxy.

Police absent from rape, shooting!

After writing my previous post, a little confirmation of how our government remains apathetic to crime. And, don't say that it is not the government, but the police's fault. If the government was serious about crime, they would employ people that would actually want to serve the community, and who aren't just looking for jobs. It simply is too easy to join the police these days. What's next, an online course to join the "force?"

16 Days of 'worthless' Activism

For several years now, we in South Africa, have been bombarded with the 16 Days of Activism (16DoA) against the abuse of women and children, at this time of the year. This is a United Nations sponsored campaign worldwide from 25 November to 10 December.

South African TV shows include it in their programming. From magazine type programs to the local soapies.

In my opinion, it is actually becoming a bit of a joke! What is the government trying to accomplish with it?

If we could only have that question answered, it would be a start!

Don't get me wrong! The abuse of women and children in this country is absolutely despicable! In my opinion, those that abuse women and children are complete cowards! It is embarrassing to me to think that we have so many cowards in this country!

Having said that, I have to also say that I do not think that the 16DoA is worth the money and effort put into it. The fact is that while we are running programs on TV and publishing articles in magazines and newspapers, abusers keep on abusing! If the government does not start effectively dealing with crime in this country and actually applying the laws on our law books, efforts like the 16DoA are wasted efforts. We might as well go fishing.

While our constitution gives more rights to criminals than to victims of crime, crime (including rape and abuse) will continue. The South African Bill of Rights (chapter 2 of the Constitution) has one section (12) with two subsections and 8 points for the freedom and security of the citizen. The same Bill of Rights has one section (35) with five subsections, twenty seven points and 8 subpoints for arrested, detained and accused persons. That is a touch lopsided, isn't it?

If the government is not going to start getting serious about crime, efforts like the 16DoA will simply go to waste. The government has the laws to fight crime. All they have to do, is to actually fight crime!

I do not see this happening too soon! Why? Too many of the criminals in this country are ANC supporters. Why would they fight against their own supporters? Is this not also the reason why they gave voting rights to criminals in jail?

It is time to vote for a new government. Crime must be dealt with decisively. I believe there is a party that is willing to do just that... the ACDP (African Christian Democratic Party).

Further, while secularists think that TV programs and articles in magazines and newspapers can change people, because they believe people are basically good, that is far from the truth. History has shown us the fallacy of that idea. History has demonstrated to us in very visual ways that man is evil and will continue to be so.

From the time of Adam and Eve, and Cain and Abel, mankind has confirmed God's opinion of them. Who but the Creator of all can know the heart of man? The Bible makes it clear what man is like. "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick." (Jer. 17.9) If this condition could be treated, then we could start working with criminals.

Oh yes, this condition can be treated! Jesus Christ came expressly to deal with the heart of man. In the preaching of the gospel there will be real results!

Instead of TV programs, let the gospel be preached!

8 And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said, Here am I! Send me.
9 And he said, Go, and say to this people:
“Keep on hearing, but do not understand;
keep on seeing, but do not perceive.
10 Make the heart of this people dull,
and their ears heavy,
and blind their eyes;
lest they see with their eyes,
and hear with their ears,
and understand with their hearts,
and turn and be healed.
11 Then I said, How long, O Lord?
And he said:
Until cities lie waste
without inhabitant,
and houses without people,
and the land is a desolate waste,
12 and the LORD removes people far away,
and the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land. (Is. 6.8-12)
Is this what South Africans want? I guess not!
9 For we have already charged that all, both Jews and Greeks, are under sin,
10 as it is written:
None is righteous, no, not one;
11 no one understands;
no one seeks for God.
12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless;
no one does good,
not even one.
13 Their throat is an open grave;
they use their tongues to deceive.
The venom of asps is under their lips.
14 Their mouth is full of curses and bitterness.
15 Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16 in their paths are ruin and misery,
17 and the way of peace they have not known.
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.

19 Now we know that whatever the law says it speaks to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be stopped, and the whole world may be held accountable to God.
20 For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin.

21 But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it—
22 the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction:
23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24 and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,
25 whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins.
26 It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. (Rom. 3.9-26)

U.S. Federal Reserve not part of Federal Government

"Few Americans know the truth about the Federal Reserve. The reality is it is no more a part of the federal government than is Federal Express. The Federal Reserve is a private corporation run by private bankers.

"Why should you care? Because as President Thomas Jefferson, President Andrew Jackson and President Woodrow Wilson all understood, a private central bank has the power to destroy our lives and steal our freedoms.

"The U.S. Treasury, in connection with the Federal Reserve, has “loaned” billions of taxpayer dollars to banks here in the U.S. and around the world and there is no guarantee we will ever be re-paid. This is nothing more than the rich bankers taking care of their rich banking friends while creating further inflation that limits your buying power of essentials such as food and clothing. In other words, the injections of liquidity by the feds in the billions of dollars have caused you and me to be the recipients of a “hidden tax” through the debasement of our currency."

The West is losing itself

According to Victor Davis Hanson:

"California is now a valuable touchstone to the country, a warning of what not to do. Rarely has a single generation inherited so much natural wealth and bounty from the investment and hard work of those more noble now resting in our cemeteries—and squandered that gift within a generation. Compare the vast gulf from old Governor Pat Brown to Gray Davis or Arnold Schwarzenegger. We did not invest in many dams, canals, rails, and airports (though we use them all to excess); we sued each other rather than planned; wrote impact statements rather than left behind infrastructure; we redistributed, indulged, blamed, and so managed all at once to create a state with about the highest income and sales taxes and the worst schools, roads, hospitals, and airports. A walk through downtown San Francisco, a stroll up the Fresno downtown mall, a drive along highway 101 (yes, in many places it is still a four-lane, pot-holed highway), an afternoon at LAX, a glance at the catalogue of Cal State Monterey, a visit to the park in Parlier—all that would make our forefathers weep. We can’t build a new nuclear plant; can’t drill a new offshore oil well; can’t build an all-weather road across the Sierra; can’t build a few tracts of new affordable houses in the Bay Area; can’t build a dam for a water-short state; and can’t create even a mediocre passenger rail system. Everything else—well, we do that well."

History should not be forgotten

My daughter is finishing grade 7 (7th grade for our American neighbours) in 2 weeks time. Yup! Here in South Africa our academic year runs from January to December.

She mentioned that she hated history. On the other hand, I love history. I told her that if more people paid attention to history we would see less mistakes of the same type being made over and over.

Star Parker has some interesting ideas about the bailout being sought by the Detroit auto makers and how it relates to history:

"We just had a presidential election that in some circles produced a lot of euphoria. But I believe that at some point -- I hope sooner rather than later -- many Americans are going to wake up and realize that this election was not a cure for our problems but a symptom of the disease.

"I think this is what our crashing financial markets are telling us.

"There is a well-known quote from a less well-known philosopher -- George Santayana -- that those who don't remember history will repeat it.

"The failure of communism and socialism is not that far behind us. Yet Americans cannot seem to recall that it happened -- and why it happened."

South Africa: Christian Unity & the Ballot Box

I received the following email from the Family Policy Institute here in South Africa.

Christian Unity & the Ballot Box

Attacks on Churches from those who preach tolerance have increased dramatically over the past few months. Intolerance and outright contempt for the beliefs and principles of Bible believing Christians have skyrocketed.

A Church in Pretoria was sued recently for dismissing a practicing homosexual and was forced to apologize for 'violating his human rights'.

The rights of the Church to maintain its Biblical integrity were completely ignored. A Stellenbosch Church was attacked by six naked students who stormed into their meeting disrupting the evening service and desecrating the sanctuary.

In the US voters overwhelmingly supported 'proposition 8', the state constitutional amendments in Arizona, Florida and California that protects marriage as the union between a man and a woman.

Following the defeat same-sex 'marriage' proponents poured onto the streets of California attacking several Churches and hurling racial abuse at African Americans who voted overwhelmingly to support the measure.

An elderly bespectacled lady holding a wooden cross was attacked by homosexual activists spewing hate and scorn in full view of TV cameras. They ripped the cross from her hands and stomped on it all the while screaming obscenities at her.

The liberal media's biased reporting of the outpouring of violence and intimidation from 'gay' activists portrayed Christians as hate-mongers and bigots bent on denying 'gays their civil rights.

Despite the trashing of Churches by homosexual activists 'proposition 8' succeeded because the Body of Christ reached across the denominational divide to protect the sanctity of marriage.

Post-apartheid South Africa desperately needs a united Church that's prepared to reach across the denominational divide to defend and protect Faith, Family and Freedom.

Same-sex 'marriage' proponents were defeated at the ballot box in the US because the majority of Americans still value the sanctity of marriage and the family. The same is true for most South Africans who hold to the traditional view of marriage and the family.

That means that we can restore the sanctity of marriage and the family - the way God intended - by Voting our Values on Election Day. If Christians voted exclusively for pro-life and pro-family political parties we would defeat the pro-death and anti-family movements in one election.

Is this possible? With God all things are possible! - With God!

The key to the ballot box defeat of same-sex 'marriage' in three US states was prayer & Christian Unity, (Where God commands the blessing, Psalm 133). The key to righteous government in South Africa can be won at the ballot box but it also demands prayer & Christian Unity!

The question is: will the Church in South Africa transcend the man-made denominational divide and link arms to defeat corrupt and self-serving politicians at the ballot box? That is a question only we can answer.

The life of the unborn and the health of the family depend on your prayers & vote.

Tyranny of the EU

An interesting site I saw today describes how the EU is on its way to becoming a tyrannical state such as the former USSR was and many current Islamic countries still are.

The site shows how the U.K. is slowly signing its rights away to the EU, disregarding its own citizens!

"The EU arrest warrant (signed by the Queen on 18th November 2003) allows us to be arrested without charge and held indefinitely with no right to see a solicitor, make a phone call, or even a right to a trial. You can simply disappear.

"Under the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act (SOCPA) 2005, we can now be arrested and held in the cells by any police officer for any petty offence, like dropping litter. Before it had to be an offense that carried a 5 year jail term. This also applies to all of the EU's 107,000 regulations. Do you know them all?

"The Civil Contingences Act 2004 allows government to confiscate anything you possess permanently; you have no right to object. This includes your house. It also gives government the right to forceably move its population around to different locations; you can be left with no place to call your own and live like a refugee. The only check and balance here is a Minister just needs to utter the words 'This is a national emergency.' If a demonstration or strike government doesn't like is being organised, they can cut off all communications in a town - phones, mobiles, the internet, TV, and block all access to that town including closing roads and railways. It has all the powers and more of Hitler's Enabling Act of 1933."

I do not know whether this is correct or not. However, if it is, it would become known as one of the greatest atrocities of modern man.

Nut jobs limb-ping!

The human race will never cease to amaze me! It doesn't surprise me, though!

There are people out there that would like to have their healthy limbs amputated! Yip! You heard right! This psychological disorder is called BIID (Body Integrity Identity Disorder).

Now, if you think this is strange or wacko, there are actually psychos psychiatrists that say that the proper way to treat these people would be to acquiesce to their BIID demands! That is almost unbelievable!

The reason that I am not surprised at this lunacy of limb-ping, or even with those that want to "treat" them, is that I know what is in the heart of man. The Bible tells us that the heart of man is desperately wicked. It also tells us that we are born in sin. The difference between the Biblical diagnosis and the humanistic diagnosis is that the humanistic diagnosis does not offer any help here. It simply sees it as a psychological disorder. The Biblical diagnosis sees the heart of the problem as a matter of sin. That mankind can sink to such low levels as wanting to amputate itself, points to a culture that has become enamored with deviancy and death. Nihilistic tendencies abound, and limb-ping is just one of them.

The solution is not to consent to limb-ping, which simply exacerbates the problem, but to provide a deliverance from this "disorder." Love doesn't cut off a healthy limb! Only self-loathing can lead a person to limb-ping! Love will point to the Creator, Jesus Christ, and the fact that He alone can bring people to deal with their problems.

(13) For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. (14) I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. (Psa 139:13-14)

When we tell God that He made a mistake, and that we know better about ourselves, we effectively tell God that He failed. He doesn't!

Instead of destroying people's lives, real compassion will lead these people to a loving Christ, and not to a hop-along Cassidy life!

A once economic giant atrophies to a quivering midget

Now that the midget has committed suicide, perhaps Pat Buchanan's article is an apt warning:

"Great nations do not have trade partners. They have trade competitors and rivals. Trade surpluses are superior to trade deficits. Tariffs on foreign goods are preferable to taxes on U.S. producers. Manufacturing, not finance, is the muscle of the nation.

"Economic independence is vital to political independence...

"As America plunges into recession and our industry hollows out, while China is still growing at 9 percent, as the 20th century's greatest creditor nation now borrows from Beijing to pay for booster shots for its sick economy, may we hear once again the Bush-Clinton refrain about how the terrible danger we all face is from 'protectionism.'"

Obama glides into office on the blood of an entire slaughtered generation

The fact that people all over the world, yes, not just America, are so elated that an African-American has been elected as president is quite amusing. What has race got to do with running a country? Did everybody suddenly forget of Obama's white heritage? Why do they insist on calling him an African-American (which he is not!), and not a coloured European? He is half the one and half of the other. Half-n-half! I suppose no-one is as blind as he who does not want to see!

Should we even mention how African states have been run? into the ground?

So, running a country has nothing to do with the colour of one's skin. However, it has everything to do with the colour of one's heart!

Tim Bayly, wrote a very interesting commentary on the election of Obama as president. Tim:

"Blacks in our nation gain absolutely nothing with Barack Obama, except the coming damning indictment of history that one of their own took his place in promoting and providing the killers' propaganda for the most awful oppression of the helpless this world has ever known--an oppression that dwarfs the oppression members of his race have suffered."

South Africa: Why your vote counts!

Your Biblical Duty to Vote

As responsible citizens, Christians must strive to honour God in all areas of life (Matthew 5:14-20). We are to oppose evil (Isaiah 59) and work for righteousness. Christians therefore have a Biblical duty to vote.

"Select capable men from all the people - men who fear God; trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain - and appoint them as officials..." Exodus 18:21

"Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people" Proverbs 14:34

Does your one vote really count?

Contrary to what people may believe, election histories prove that just one vote is often the difference between victory and defeat for a party, candidate or issue. Consider these historical examples:
• In 1645, one vote gave Oliver Cromwell control of England.
• In 1649, one vote caused Charles I of England to be executed.
• In 1776, one vote gave America the English language instead of German.
• In 1845, one vote brought Texas into the Union.
• In 1868, one vote saved US President Andrew Johnson from impeachment.
• In 1875, one vote changed France from a monarchy to a republic.
• In 1876, one vote gave Rutherford B. Hayes the Presidency of the U.S.
• In 1923, one vote gave Adolf Hitler leadership of the Nazi Party.

When you do not vote, by default you cast your vote against the person or proposal you would prefer. When you do not vote, that vote is one less the opposition has to overcome, thus your "no vote" is a vote for anti-Christian policies.

70% of South Africans confess that they believe in God and see themselves as Christians. In 2004, the ANC however got only ±30% and the other parties ±8% of the votes of all people who could have voted. 50-60% eligible voters did not vote. This means that South Africa is governed by the minority! It also means that the Christians who did not vote and those who voted for the ANC have allowed the ANC to get into power!

Dr. Pieter Mulder, president of the Freedom Front believes, "It is in the interest of South Africa that the big political majority of the ANC should be reduced. Following the firing of President Mbeki, this is possible for the first time since 1994." He went on to say:
"The first step is to get the voter support for the ANC down to below 66% at the next elections in 2009.

"A second step is to, through sensible cooperation between opposition political parties, prevent that the ANC govern in all nine provinces.

"To get the support for the ANC in the next election under 66% as a first step, it is very important that opposition voters turn out in large numbers to register to vote. In the previous election, the ANC had 70% of the votes. As a result of the current divisions within the ANC, the party’s support can easily drop to 66% as a result of the stay-away-votes. Opposition voters who do not go and vote out of protest or recklessness, however only once again increase the ANC’s support."

"Who will rise up for Me against the wicked? Who will make a stand for Me against the workers of iniquity?" Psalm 94:16

South Africa’s Proportional Representation System
South Africa has a proportional representation system, which means that the more votes a party gets, the more seats they will get in parliament.

Dr Mulder went on to explain:
"With simple maths it can be explained why opposition voters who do not vote in our proportional electoral system increase the ANC’s support. For the sake of the example, we accept that only ten voters had cast their votes. The percentage of parliamentary members which each party receives is then calculated out of ten votes. If the ANC had obtained six votes and the opposition four, the ANC will get 60% of the parliamentary members in Cape Town or in a provincial legislature and the opposition gets 40%.

"If one opposition voter stays away, the ANC has still obtained six votes while the opposition now only has three votes. The calculation is then done out of nine and no longer ten. The ANC has six out of nine votes or 66%. Without the ANC obtaining more votes, the ANC suddenly has 6% more parliamentary members in Cape Town or in a provincial legislature. The stay-away-voter therefore caused the ANC to improve its performance!

"The opposite also holds true. If the aggrieved Mbeki supporters stay away in the next election, as is being expected, while opposition voters turn out to vote, the ANC’s support will fall dramatically below 66%. With the uncertainties about a future Zuma-government, it is important get the support for the ANC below 66% in order to prevent the ANC from being able to change the Constitution on their own."

Preferably the aim should be to replace them with a coalition of parties committed to pro-life, pro-family, free enterprise policies.

Day of mourning: God's judgement ensues

It is a day of mourning. 4 November 2008, the day that Barack Obama was elected president of the United States of America.

Here in South Africa, it was at about 06:30 (5 November), that I heard the news. It was truly bad news. At the time of this post, Obama had 51% and McCain 48% of the popular vote. However, the way that the American federal system works, Obama now has 338 and McCain 156 electoral votes. A total of 270 electoral votes are needed for a win. With about a similar margin of the popular vote in 2004, Bush had 286 against Kerry's 251 electoral votes. It all depends which states have been won.

Anyway, Obama's win will indeed bring about change in America. CNN's headline on their main page right now says, "Change has come to America." Obama may hold to that historic designation as the first black president of America, but it is my belief that this historic event will be overshadowed by the fact that he will prove to be the president of America to bring that once great nation's morality to its knees.

Obama's record in the Illinois state senate and also in the U.S. senate will prove to that nation that he was absolutely the wrong choice. His rhetoric of change will prove true. Yet, it will not be change for a better America. Sure, it may become a better America for baby killers (abortionists), for sodomists (homosexuals), for the communists/socialists, for terrorists, but it will not be a better America for those who want to live good or Godly lives.

It still boggles my mind, how such a once proud and good nation, could be duped by a man, who in my mind will bring God's judgement to a nation that once held to living good lives. The tide has swung, and unrighteousness will become the law of the land.

America is a nation where so many claim to be Christian, even evangelical. The question that arises in my mind is, "How can a nation with so many Christians let the country fall into the hands of evil." All I can say is that the clergy, the church, are to be blamed for this travesty! How so many so-called Christians could look past Obama's past (his advocacy of horrors like partial-birth abortion, homosexual marriage, connections to terrorist groups, his communist/socialist leaning ideas), and then vote for him is beyond the scope of insanity. It is like voting for the devil because he will make it nicer for people to live on the earth. When you turn your back on God's laws in a vote such as this, you turn your back on God. You cannot divorce God from His statutes. It is both or nothing!

There are Christians out there who voted for Obama for seemingly good reasons, Such as Rob J. I suppose that it is obvious to them, that having people live better lives in the here and now are more important than those who are prevented from having any life at all through abortion. Since when can murder be downgraded to be only as important as some welfare system where the state will become Santa, handing out continual gifts? Where do these gift come from? From those that will be taxed because they are rich! Taxing the rich to fund the poor may seem noble, but it essentially is stealing from the rich to give to the poor, ala Robin Hood. Taxing the rich to fund the poor can also be humorous.

But, I suppose it would have been better for the allied forces in WWII to have pooled their money and given it to the poor. Surely, the death of 6,000,000 Jews and others were not that important! The same scenario is playing out right in front of our eyes right now! The only difference is that it is more than 40,000,000 babies that have been killed!

I read in a blog sometime yesterday (and I wish I noted where I read it), about people asking whether God would judge America for its evils, such as the abortion holocaust, pornography, homosexual vices and many more. The answer this blogger gave was that those very evils in America "are the judgement of God."

Obama as president, is God's judgement!

However, one thing I know, and that is that God is still in control. No matter who the president is and who has the most seats in government, there is only one Sovereign, and that is Jesus Christ. He will continue to rule this world, no matter who is president of what!

Is Obama the anti-christ?

The questions has been asked, "Is Barack Hussein Obama the anti-christ?"

Famed Catholic-Canadian author, Michael O'Brien, says "not a chance!" But, he does not say that for the reasons you might suppose!

"From my own reading of Obama's declarations and stated positions, I knew he was an ultra-liberal, a social revolutionary with visionary pretensions. But the Antichrist? No, not possible, I thought. I felt that he was too shallow a man to be the Son of Perdition, the Man of Sin, the Beast of the Book of Revelation. And I still think so. Obama is a crowd-pleaser with just the right ethos of idealistic crusader. That the crusade and the banners under which it marches are evil does not automatically prove that he is the Antichrist.

"But now that I have seen the video of the Berlin speech I think there is more here than meets the eye. He is indeed a powerful manipulator of crowds, even as he appears ever so humble and wholesomely charming. I doubt that he is the long-prophesied ruler of the world, but I also believe that he is a carrier of a deadly moral virus, indeed a kind of anti-apostle spreading concepts and agendas that are not only anti-Christ but anti-human as well. In this sense he is of the spirit of Antichrist (perhaps without knowing it), and probably is one of several key figures in the world who (knowingly or unknowingly) will be instrumental in ushering in the time of great trial for the Church under its last and worst persecution, amidst the numerous other tribulations prophesied in the books of Daniel and Revelation, and letters of St Paul, St. John, and St. Peter."

Here are some hard-hitting quotes from O'Brien:
"I have read a number of his pronouncements, and saw the smoke and mirrors beneath the rhetoric..."

"I knew he was an ultra-liberal, a social revolutionary with visionary pretensions."

"He is indeed a powerful manipulator of crowds, even as he appears ever so humble and wholesomely charming."

"I also believe that he is a carrier of a deadly moral virus, indeed a kind of anti-apostle spreading concepts and agendas that are not only anti-Christ but anti-human as well."

"Yet when all the rhetoric is boiled down to its substance, the man is advocating unlimited state-sanctioned murder, and compounds it by indulging in habitual falsehood."

Although I do not agree with Roman Catholic doctrine, this piece still makes for interesting reading.

Clergy will be blamed if Obama wins

Randall Terry, Founder of Operation Rescue feels that if Obama wins Tuesday's elections, then the fault can be laid squarely at the feet of clergy of the American church:

"Think of the German Church During the Holocaust

"Adolph Hitler declared just after he was voted into power:

"The parsons will be made to dig their own graves. They will betray their God to us. They will betray anything for the sake of their miserable little jobs and incomes." (The Nazi Persecution of the Churches, J.S. Conway.)

"...overall, Hitler's assessment of German clergy proved true. After the war, Martin Niemoller wrote Guilt and Hope, and basically blamed the German clergy for Hitler's rise to power. If only the clergy had spoken out early on, Hitler could have been stopped. The clergy chose silence and safety; they lost the life and soul of their nation in the exchange, and the condemnation of countless generations to come.

"Heaven viewed them with tears; history views them in contempt....

"...What hardships do American Clergy face today

The Truth about Obama

I think it is imperative for every sane thinking person to read the Human Events paper, The Truth about Barack Obama: What Every Citizen Needs to Know.

Of course, the Obamaniacs will probably throw a hissy fit because of this paper. Be that as it may, this paper must be spread far and wide across the U.S. and even the world.
The Truth about Barack Obama must come out.

Here are the first two paragraphs:

"Barack Obama's quest for the presidency is remarkable in many ways, not least of which is the utter lack of close scrutiny by the dominant liberal media of Obama's history. What little we know of it is a history that belies nearly everything those who see him as their political messiah believe to be true: that he is a reformer, an agent of 'change,' a 'new style' of 'post-partisan' politician, that his relationships with (to put it mildly) unsavory characters like Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers are irrelevant outliers, and that Obama is a moderate who works well with Republicans and Democrats alike to get important things done.

"In his new book, The Case Against Barack Obama, (published by Regnery and available at Amazon.com) political reporter David Freddoso lays out in great detail (averaging 65 footnotes per chapter) the many substantial flaws in Obama, showing him to be anything but a new sort of politician and anything but a force for positive change or real change of any kind, other than change to benefit Obama and advance the liberal agenda. Obama is, as Fred Thompson said, George McGovern without the credentials."

Ronald Reagan: Government expansion means contraction of freedom

In a nationwide U.S. survey, Ronald Reagan, 40th president of the U.S.A., was picked as America's best president. Here is one of his great speeches. What timeless ideals he held to! If Obama becomes the next U.S. president, God forbid, all those ideals will become null and void!

Google goes Gaygle while the Apple is bitten

In two separate statements, both Apple and Google voiced their opposition to Proposition 8. Prop 8 wants to solidify marriage as between one man and one woman. However, Apple and Google are opposed to this proposition.

This simply means that both companies have decided to side with the homosexual lifestyle, over against the true Biblical family.

Based on this, should anyone of these companies enjoy our continued support? Why should we continue to use Google Gaygle?

Christian Coalition Voter Guides available!

"Christian Coalition Voter Guides are one of the most powerful tools that pro-family conservatives have ever had to educate others on where candidates for public office stand on key faith and family issues. They have helped inform tens of millions of voters in every election since 1992.

With the close competitive nature of many races this year, Christian Coalition Voter Guides could make all the difference in who represents you in public office - and it is critical that pro-family voters have the information they need before they go to the polls this November. They need to know where candidates for office stand on the important issues that impact our families."

2012: Obama's first four years

In a possible scenario with Obama as U.S. president, the following letter written in 2012, portrays what an Obama presidency could look like after its first 4 years.

"Dear friends,

"I can hardly sing 'The Star Spangled Banner' any more. When I hear the words,

"O say, does that star spangled banner yet wave
"O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

"I get tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat. Now in October of 2012, after seeing what has happened in the last four years, I don’t think I can still answer, 'Yes,' to that question. We are not 'the land of the free and the home of the brave.' Many of our freedoms have been taken away by a liberal Supreme Court and a majority of Democrats in both the House and the Senate, and hardly any brave citizen dares to resist the new government policies any more.

"The 2008 election was closer than anybody expected, but Barack Obama still won. Many Christians voted for Obama – younger evangelicals actually provided him with the needed margin to defeat John McCain – but they didn’t think he would really follow through on the far left policies that had marked his entire previous career. They were wrong."

Voting according to race?

As Christians we cannot afford to vote according to race, no matter which country we live in. Our vote should be squarely based on the Christian worldview. That worldview categorically denies a vote for someone that supports abortion or gay "marriage."

African-American Christians risk being called all kinds of names if they do not support Barack Hussein Obama. But then, can being called names really compare with Jesus who suffered a terrible beating and a death on a cross to save His people? Can being called names really compare with the death of millions of innocent children whose only crime is to be an inconvenience? Has our convenience driven, instant, Western society become so callous that it would murder for a little bit of convenience and instant gratification?

Lee Grady of Charisma Magazine, sat next to a 70 year old female, African-American Christian singer, in a church service, who told him that she does not support Obama, because his principles are contrary to her Christian principles.

"She continued: 'I hear some black pastors saying from the pulpit, "Let's thank God we’re going to have a black man in the White House." Well, I’m sorry, but I don’t think this is the right black man.'

"I'm not going to reveal the identity of this woman—not because she doesn't want me to tell, but because outing her as a McCain supporter could close doors for her in the black church. Sadly, African-Americans who aren't supporting Obama today are viewed as traitors."

Value Voters USA

I am not an American (I am South African), but I lived and worked in Columbus, Ohio for 2 years (1999-2000). I have always been interested in the history of the U.S. and what's happening there. I also always have to defend the U.S. among many of the people I know in South Africa.

Everytime elections come around, they are called the most important elections ever. However, the 2008 U.S. elections of November 4, in my opinion are the most important of all time for the American nation. Barack Obama is the most left-leading radical ever to run for president, and if he wins, it will be known in history as the Great Turning point for America.

That is why every Christian needs to think very carefully who they want to vote for. The fact that there are Christians who stand behind Obama simply boggles my mind. The man is a socialist, bent on the continued destruction and murder of babies and of the family in his support for homosexual marriage. He must be stopped now.

It is at this point in the life of America, that Christians need to say "NO!" to the Democratic Party and their left-leading, immoral policies and candidates.

Obama: most extreme abortion candidate ever

Robert P. George, McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence and Director of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University, member of the President's Council on Bioethics, previously served on the United States Commission on Civil Rights, sits on the editorial board of Public Discourse, wrote a very important expose on Barack Obama's stance concerning abortion.

George wrote:

"Barack Obama is the most extreme pro-abortion candidate ever to seek the office of President of the United States. He is the most extreme pro-abortion member of the United States Senate. Indeed, he is the most extreme pro-abortion legislator ever to serve in either house of the United States Congress.

"Yet there are Catholics and Evangelicals-even self-identified pro-life Catholics and Evangelicals - who aggressively promote Obama's candidacy and even declare him the preferred candidate from the pro-life point of view.

"What is going on here?

"I have examined the arguments advanced by Obama's self-identified pro-life supporters, and they are spectacularly weak. It is nearly unfathomable to me that those advancing them can honestly believe what they are saying. But before proving my claims about Obama's abortion extremism, let me explain why I have described Obama as 'pro-abortion' rather than 'pro-choice.'"

Obama claims to be Christian: Is there evidence?

Marsha West wrote an interesting article on the evidence of whether Obama is a Christian or not.

"How do we know if a person’s life has changed? His worldview will change over time (in some cases overnight) and he will exchange his secular worldview for a sacred worldview. In other words, sooner or later he will leave his old life behind and adopt a Christian worldview. For those who don’t know what a Christian worldview looks like, Paul explains it in 1 Corinthians.

"That said, a good place to start looking for proof to judge whether or not Obama’s worldview is secular or sacred is to examine his view on the sanctity of human life. In that regard the evidence speaks for itself."

U.K. morality dips to lowest point

The U.K. police is now at a point where they no longer know what is right or wrong. They have been instructed not to interfere with the so-called "human right" of homosexuals to cruise public places, such as parks and public bathrooms, and to have sex with anonymous partners, in those public places!

The U.K. is spiraling out of control, and government entities have become so PC that it is going to cause the fall of a once great empire. Correction: the empire has fallen!

"Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who made all nations drink the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality... Babylon the great, mother of prostitutes and of earth's abominations." Bible, Revelation 14:8 & 17:5.
Is this how Britain would like to be remembered?

In a news bulletin by LifeSiteNews it was reported:
"Public homosexual activity in parks and public bathrooms must not be impeded by law enforcement officials except as a last resort, says a new set of draft guidelines for UK police...

"The report complained that previous activity on the part of police officers to stop public sex has alienated the gay community. The report blames law enforcement for leading to homosexual 'self-harm,' citing the fact that some homosexuals have attempted suicide who 'may have been arrested, charged or come into contact with the police in such a situation.'"

I suppose the next step will be not to enforce the law on murder, or perhaps rape. We can't allow the enforcement of these laws. Don't you know it will alienate the RMR communities? (Rapists, Murderers and Robbers)

Oh, what the heck! Why don't we just scrap all law books so we do not have to enforce any laws? That way, no one will ever be alienated again! What a great idea!

However, if we do this, we would have complete anarchy! Yet, does anyone think that anarchy, or its opposite, tyranny, is achieved in a day? It is a slow process, either retreating on the laws of the day, or infringing on the freedoms of the day. There is a thin line that separates the two. Unfortunately, humans have the great skill of cutting across that line almost on a daily basis. Governments have the great skill to go both ways at the same time. For instance, the police in the U.K. no longer want to enforce the law on public indecency regarding homosexuals, and on the other hand, they most likely will infringe on the free-speech rights of those who say that homosexuality is wrong.

Anyhow, this predicament comes along when people want to create and banish laws based on their own "wisdom." Mankind will just never get it right. According to these clever humans, something could be wrong today but right tomorrow. Why is this? This happens because they no longer have an objective truth to base their laws upon. God's truth! This comes at their own detriment.

"Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!" Bible, Isaiah 5:20

God has put out a warning to those who call evil good and good evil. It seems in the case of the U.K., that warning is coming to fruition. The once mighty British Empire, is busy turning into a bunch of weaklings not willing to stand up for what is good in the sight of God like they once did.

Britain, your only escape from being washed away into the ocean of oblivion by those pathetic waves of political correctness, is for you to repent and to return to God! Humble yourself before the King of kings and the Lord of lords, Jesus Christ. That is the only way!

South African Biblical Voters' Guide

It seems like many people battle with which party to vote for. That is not just a South African problem.

However, a Biblical Voters' Guide does exist to help voters make up their minds. The problem does exist that even when voters are given such a guide they still do not whom to vote for.

Looking at Christians in South Africa, it seems they are in many ways the worst when it comes to elections. Something that should be so easy, becomes a mountain to handle. While they claim to believe in the Bible, and to be Christians, thousands upon thousands show which side of the divide they stand. Many still vote for expediency instead of according to their so-called Biblical beliefs.

This is clearly a case of not walking-the-talk. They say one thing but clearly do another. Their personal worldviews do not square up with their claimed Biblical worldview.

Well, be that as it may, you can reach the voter's guide here.

New York Times outraged over McCain/Palin supporters' rage

Don't you just love the New York Times? That bastion of liberal cave dwellers! The reporting from the NYT is so one sided, only a cave dweller can believe the invective aimed at the right while they consistently ignore or hide the attitudes of hate aimed at the right by the left.

Michelle Malkin highlights how the left keep bursting out in one-finger salutes and one syllable tirades against the right. Amazing how a principled stand can evoke such bad behaviour from the left.

Michelle Malkin:

"Are a few activists on the right getting out of hand? Probably. Between massive ACORN voter fraud, Bill Ayers’ and Jeremiah Wright’s unrepentant hatred of America, and John McCain’s inability to nail Barack Obama on his longtime alliances with all of the above, conservatives have plenty to shout about these days.

"But a couple of random catcallers do not a mob make. And there’s an overflowing abundance of electoral rage on the left that won’t make it onto your newspaper’s front page."

What kind of response can one expect from the left? Here is a video that shows us:

The left must respond like they do because they have such high moral standards. Or, do they? I think not! The following cartoon says it all!

ACDP can never merge with DA or new ANC split

I just read an article by Mail & Guardian Online, in which ordinary South Africans shared their views on the possibility of a new political party.

One of the respondents, Derek Lerm, says that he will vote for the African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP).

He also said that "other parties like the ACDP and the DA may want to merge into this [new] party to make it more powerful."

Lerm obviously does not know what the ACDP stands for. The political and moral philosophy of the DA and this new party are diametrically opposed. While the ACDP clearly stands for strong Biblical Christian morals, neither the DA or the new party stand for such morals.

It would be better if Christians in this nation voted for what they claimed to believe. Then they would not vote for the DA or the ANC or any other ANC cloned parties. That would remove the ANC from power.

Sarah Palin's "Speech of the 21st Century"

British pro-life activist, John Smeaton, director of Society for the Protection of Unborn Children, wrote that Sarah Palin's speech in Pennsylvania on Saturday could be regarded as the “most significant” political speech of the 21st century.

In the speech Sarah Palin said:

"I believe the truest measure of any society is how it treats those who are least able to defend and to speak for themselves. And who is more vulnerable, or more innocent, than a child?...

"Yes, every innocent life matters. Everyone belongs in the circle of protection. Every child has something to contribute to the world, if we give them that chance. There are the world’s standards of perfection – and then there are God’s, and these are the final measure."

Ashley Judd is disingenuous about abortion

Ashley Judd, in a short interview with CNSNews.com, said that voting for McCain/Palin is like a chicken voting for Col. Sanders.

It simply amazes me that liberals like Judd and their fellow democrat cronies can be so disingenuous in what they say. Judd blabbed along about "reproductive health" as if it is the great solution to the human problem!

"Reproductive health" is a code word for the murdering of the unborn. Yes, the euphemism for this murdering of unborn babies used to be "abortion," but now has taken another turn to be further euphemised to become "reproductive health!"

This is how the liberals and democrats perpetuate their lies. By giving terrible acts of violence and despicable lifestyles all kinds of euphemisms, they have conned millions in thinking their way. I suppose if people are gullible enough for this type of word play, then the democrats can have them!

If Judd thinks that voting for McCain/Palin is like a chicken voting for Col. Sanders, then what should we think of voting for Obama/Biden? That would be like a murdered baby voting for Tiller.

Further, if that despicable Planned Parenthood gave McCain a 0 rating on "reproductive health" for women, then he is indeed a far better option than Obama who received a 100 rating for the same. That simply means that Obama does not give a hoot for the unborn. The devil in disguise!

Relief for the terminally ill?

Assisted suicide for the terminally ill will probably lead to assisted suicide for anyone who so wishes! Assisted suicide is illegal in Montana, U.S.A. Wesley Smith of Secondhand Smoke touched on the issue:

"So we can see that the dying patient is just the point person, the category of suffering persons that many will be willing to accept for the right to suicide, when in reality, these patients are being used to front the broader agenda that can, in time, only lead to a right to be made dead for anyone with a sustained desire to die.

Voting According to the Word of God

Kent Pletcher, from the Grace Remarx blog, in his post Voting According to the Word of God, wrote specifically with the American elections in mind, however, his comments can be directly applied to the South African elections of early 2009.

Here are a few paragraphs:

"If you truly believe the Word of God...you will do all you can to live it!

"Now let me apply this to our God-given right to vote. If we believe the Word of God and hold Him as our highest treasure in life. If we truly believe, as the Bible clearly states, that our greatest duty and pleasure comes through obedience to God's Word than we should always vote according to the Word of God.

"I don't care if your (sic) Republican or Democrat...the Word of God must always trump everything else.

"If the Bible says that murder is sin you better not vote for someone who endorses abortion.

If the Bible says that homosexuality is an abomination to God than you better not vote for someone who endorses homosexuality or same sex marriage."

Online Christian School in South Africa

The school my children attend, Hatfield Christian School, here in Pretoria, has come up with a way of assisting children that are out in far flung areas, or those involved in home schooling here in South Africa, with an accredited online school called the Hatfield Christian Online School.

Essentially, there are three programmes to choose from:
The Online Option

"In this option, the student elects to do all of his / her subjects online and they become fulltime students of our Online Programme. These subjects lead to an Independent Examinations Board (IEB) matric. There will be regular assignments and assessments which will need to be completed timeously if a student is to progress."

The Top Up Option
"You have the option of signing up for one or more subjects which will supplement your other studies."

The School Based Option
"The current educational system in our country means that there are numerous schools that are not adequately staffed. There are also other schools, where the designated staff member is alone in the department and is not confident that he / she is on track. It is our intention to be of assistance to these schools and ensure that as many young South Africans as possible receive a sound and quality education."
The Hatfield Christian Online School is launching in 2009 with Gr 10, offering the following subjects:
English
Afrikaans (1st additional language)
Maths
Maths Literacy
Physical Science
Biology
Geography
IT (Information Technology)

California: "Gay" agenda trumps everyone else's rights!

Well, there you have it. Arnold Schwarzenegger, governor of California has signed into law three bills that essentially squashes moral values and religious freedom.

The Bible warned us that the time will come when good will be called evil, and evil will be called good. Apart from degenerates that are already thinking that, the Governator has now signed that concept into law.

One of the bills,

"AB 3015 forces foster parents to train foster children to support homosexuality, bisexuality and transsexuality. The 2000 law upon which AB 3015 is based resulted in homosexual, bisexual and transsexual activism on school campuses from 'LGBT' students and teachers. AB 3015 will do the same for foster children, many of whom have already been emotionally damaged by sexual abuse and neglect."

Family Policy Institute misrepresents African Christian Democratic Party

The Family Policy Institute (FPI), in its July 18th reporting of the launch of the Christian Democratic Alliance, said that the "African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) opted out of the CDA choosing to remain in their multi-party governance arrangement with the Democratic Alliance (DA)."

In their reporting on the ACDP's so-called alliance with the DA, they used a bit of mix-n-matching with their reporting. After they made this categorical statement in their article, two paragraphs down they quote the president of the ACDP, Dr. Kenneth Meshoe as saying, "The agreement is a multi-party governance on a city basis only and will never be on a national basis." I call this maneuvering by the FPI as ducking-and-diving.

In my opinion they had absolutely NO need to make their initial statement. Dr. Meshoe clearly stated that there is no nationwide alliance with the DA, and that the alliance with them in Cape Town was limited to Cape Town alone.

The article by FPI shows absolutely no objectivity, as they are making a statement that was clearly debunked by the ACDP president. The facts, as alliances go, also speak volumes in this regard. Apart from Cape Town, the ACDP has no alliance with any other political party in the country.

The decision by the ACDP not to join the CDA has therefore nothing to do with its current city alliance with the DA and several other parties. That of course is never mentioned in the article by FPI.
